Tom Brown
Building Surveyor
Tom is an experienced Building Surveyor and Project Manager, with knowledge within the Commercial, Retail and Education sectors.
Tom joined Wainwrights in 2018 as a Graduate Surveyor and progressed to Building surveyor in 2020.
He works within the Building Surveying team, delivering a range of core building surveying professional services including dilapidations, building condition reports, schedules of condition, pre-acquisition reports, insurance valuations, development monitoring reports and site / client specific surveys and reports.
Tom also provides a range of Professional Project services, including the delivery of a range of projects from RIBA stage 0 through to 7 as Principal Designer, Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor and Contract Administrator, with a range of projects within the Education, Commercial and Retail sectors, as well as heritage works to a number of buildings, including Grade I, II* and II buildings.
Within the Education sector Tom has experience surveying and reporting / providing information for Continual Improvement Fund (CIF) bids, and Project Managing over £1million worth of successful CIF bid projects.
Tom has experience working for a range of clients, including a number of Academy Trusts, and some of the UK’s largest commercial Landlords.
Outside of Work
Tom is a big football fan, supporting his local team Burnley FC. He also plays for the Wainwrights 5-a-side football team.
He also plays golf, tennis, squash and badminton whenever possible, and likes to get to the gym. Though ‘not a fan of running 'AT ALL’, Tom also takes part in charity events, such as the Manchester Great Run (10k).
At the weekend, he enjoys catching up with friends, watching football, and enjoying live music.
