Demolition & Construction of Industrial Units
The scheme involved the demolition of some existing units and construction of new industrial units in Boston, Lincolnshire.
The project included the construction of a new build15,000sqft warehouse to be occupied by a builders merchant.
The building was of a steel frame construction with a pitched roof and cladding to the elevations. There is also a large concrete hardstanding yard and car park area.
Wainwrights were architects, quantity surveyors and project managers on the scheme.

ASBESTOS RISK AVERTED
During the works we identified an unknown pit of buried asbestos which had the potential to delay the programme of works and have cost affects.
Wainwrights were able to identify a specialist sub-contractor who could remove the area of asbestos from site and put it through their segregation plant.
This allowed the asbestos to be removed from the inert ground, significantly reducing tipping costs. As a result, there was minimal effect on the programme and the costs to remove the asbestos were significantly reduced.
