Headquarters Design
New HQ for Prosthetics Company
Wainwrights were appointed as Architects and Project Managers to design the headquarters for Ossur, an Icelandic prosthetic limbs manufacturer based in Livingston, Scotland.
The project involved the refurbishment of an existing 40,000 sq.ft commercial office space into a new headquarters consisting of commercial offices, a workshop floor and a warehouse at ground floor.
The scheme involved a new planning application to be submitted to allow for roller shutters to be installed within the warehouse at Ground Floor Level.
This project was also on site during the Covid-19 pandemic which disrupted works on site and temporarily halted progress.
Nevertheless, works finished on time and within budget for the client.

The project also included working with the Local Authority to ensure all works complied with the Scottish Standards, which is a different approach than the English system, but one in which Wainwrights are experienced in.
